Communications Chair Connor on how Mortar Board creates community

Due to the size of our school, it can oftentimes be difficult to develop relationships with your peers–especially those outside of your chosen majors. As members of Mortar Board, we have an invaluable opportunity to make an overwhelmingly large community at the University of Washington more approachable. The group is made up of students with a wide range of diverse academic interests and passions, ensuring unique perspectives and opinions at every meeting. However, despite differences in background, we all share the desire to do good for the world. Being a part of Mortar Board is an opportunity to make meaningful connections with passionate and dedicated peers while giving back to the greater Seattle community.”
