“Something I love about the Mortar Board is its long history at UW—it has been around for over 100 years! As the first national honors organization that included college senior women, Mortar Board recognized women’s scholarship during a time when other honors societies did not. Likewise, our members truly embody Mortar Board’s values of leadership, scholarship, and service. Having the opportunity to get to know such a diverse group of high-achieving students has been such an amazing experience.”
